Here is an idea on using mulch or other decomposing materials to fuel power plants. Using compost piles like thermo power.

We know that a pile of mulch will get so hot that it will catch on fire and start burning away. And we also know, that it takes a very long time for that mulch to completely burn up.

Lets say we built some pipes designed to hold water that gets heated up into steam. We then take or decomposing material, and pile it up over the pipes, so we can use the heat to make steam. This steam is then used to turn our steam turbines, that are turning generators to create electricity for cities. We then keep the water supply going, using the sources we currently use.

Lets say we do something different then using steam. Instead of steam, we could build Stirling engines designed to use decomposing mulch. This would give us energy that does not use fossil fuels, giving us a cleaner fuel. And also would allow us to build factories anywhere we could pile up mulch.

All we would have to do to keep the engines running, is keep the correct amount of mulch on the pipes, or Stirling engines.

Stirling engines are not as powerful as gas engines, but they do work. A large stirling engine could be powerful enough to turn a generator.

I believe mulch and other decomposing materials put off methane, I suggest that the methane, or the gases can also be extracted from the piles. Our factories would give us a usable gas, and keep our cities with power, while using a cleaner fuel.

If it is possible to use decomposing materials to run power plants, it could replace fossil fueled plants. Keeping the power companies in business, and replacing their coal and oil fuels.

We might even then be able to have methane powered cars, or what ever kind of gases can be extracted from the decomposing piles running the power stations.

Also if horse manure, or another animal manure is used. Then this would help give our farms money from the purchase of manure from them, while keeping our compost piles at the correct height.
