Doctor Who A Look at an Episode from the Hit BBC TV Series

The newest episode of the fourth season of the hit BBC television program, Doctor Who, was another stand-out episode with great performances by Catherine Tate and David Tennant with a fantastic performance from Tim McInnerny as the evil industry owner Klineman Halpen and Ayesha Dharker
(who played Queen Jamillia in Star Wars: Episode 2-Attack of the Clones) as Solana Mercurio, the marketing executive at Ood Sphere. The episode, entitled Planet of the Ood, was written by Keith Temple and directed by Graeme Harper, who has directed many Doctor Who episodes including the final 5th Doctor story, The Caves of Androzani and 10th Doctor stories Rise of the Cybermen and The Age of Steel two-parter plus the two-parter Army of Ghosts & Doomsday, plus the stand-alone episode 42, and Utopia, and the Children in Need special Time Crash and the upcoming fourth season episode The Unicorn and the Wasp). The episode was produced by Susie Liggat, who produced the third season episodes Smith & Jones, The Shakespeare Code, Gridlock, Human Nature/The Family of Blood, and Blink.

The episode opens with the murder, by a red-eyed Ood, of an Ood Operations executive. Meanwhile, The Doctor and Donna Noble (played by David Tennant and Catherine Tate, respectively) are taking a random trip in the TARDIS. They land on the Ood-Sphere in the year 4126, a planet covered by snow and in the middle of a cold snowfall. Catherine Tate's Donna Noble acts like we would if we could ride with The Doctor. Arriving on this alien world, she's not exactly dressed for the occasion and has to go back inside the TARDIS to get a better outfit on before they head out to explore.
