When shopping for a GPS or a Bluetooth, one should consider getting the best of both worlds. Get both the GPS and Bluetooth together, in the form of a Garmin nuvi 660. Garmin offers both an excellent GPS device and a Bluetooth together in one portable device. The GPS Bluetooth is very practical for travelers wanting to have both directions and hands free phone service. Also, the device is incredibly affordable if bought on Amazon.

Garmin makes it very easy to use the GPS Bluetooth. In order to set up the device, one simply has to have a cell phone that is enabled with Bluetooth. These days, almost every cell phone is enabled with Bluetooth, so you probably already have that on your cell phone, even if you did not know it. Once you have your cell phone on, it is time to program the device.

In order to enable the GPS Bluetooth, the cell phone must be set to find another device. The GPS Bluetooth will be found quickly, and you will be ready to make calls. It is that simple. You don't have to have an understanding of technology to enable the GPS Bluetooth and get it to function.

The first thing a consumer will notice when using the GPS Bluetooth on the Garmin nuvi 660 is the clarity of the phone calls. When making a call, the call can either go through car speakers, via the wireless internal FM transmitter, or through the GPS Bluetooth's internal speaker. Either way, the phone call is transmitted loudly and clearly throughout the vehicle.

If you choose to use the FM transmitter, simply hit the volume icon on the Garmin nuvi 660. Different choices will come onto the screen. You will then want to use the touch screen to go to the audio output. FM Transmitter and internal speaker will be your choices. Choose the FM Transmitter. Then have the GPS Bluetooth automatically search the channels on your FM radio for the best station to transmit your GPS Bluetooth on. When it has found a station, the station number will come up. Switch the radio to that station, hear the voice, and click "ok" on the GPS Bluetooth.
