Adderall: Effective Drug, or is it Just Speed? Insomnia Sufferers May Find Relief of Fatigue in Adderall
Is Taking Amphetamines Ever a Good Idea? My Story of Insomnia and Adderall
Is Adderall possibly the most perfect drug? Or it is a highly addictive amphetamine? Adderall is technically a controlled substance, so why are so many people taking it? I have been taking Adderall for approximately 2.5 months, and I now think I understand the appeal.
I do not have ADD or ADHD, so my experience has been a bit different. I can not say for a fact, but there is no doubt in my mind that Adderall is highly effective for most sufferers of ADD or ADHD.
I have had insomnia for about 4 months, and it has taken a huge toll on me. I would say that I have gotten an average of 3 hours of sleep every night since June. I had to stop working because it was impossible for me to function. Insomnia is really like being stuck between a rock and a hard place. You can't sleep when you need to, but then spend all day trying not to fall asleep. I had tried everything. I would read, watch TV, talk on the phone, go on the computer, and most often, just lay in bed miserable until morning. Nothing made a difference.
Most people take sleep for granted because it comes so natural. I never even thought about sleep until recently; sleep was just something that I did. There was never a thought in my mind about how lucky I was to be able to do what I was doing.
