The Neo-Indie Arts Festival is on! It's set for July 26 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Thomas Jefferson Community Center in Arlington, VA. I'm so thrilled that we finally secured a space and can begin serious planning for the event. There's going to be a great combination of music, visual art, zine making, and more. We're hosting a Battle of the Bands, a visual art contest, a literature contest, and maybe a poetry slam. I also intend to bring 400 copies of my itty-bitty 'zine "Cognitive Chaos" to hand out for free. There will be optional surveys for people to fill out before they leave, too. If I can coordinate a way to bring in food, I would love to make it available. We're operating on virtually no budget, though, so we have to get creative about pooling together our resources. Food or no food, it's bound to be fun regardless!!!
