Carly Smithson Rocks Jesus Christ Superstar on American Idol

This week on American Idol Carly Smithson sang "Jesus Christ Superstar." And she totally rocked it. Finally, she did her think and it was great. I am so glad that Andrew Lloyd Webber talked her into doing that song instead of the other slow song she was considering.

Everyone has been waiting for her to make a comeback. She started this competition really strong and then all of the sudden she got a little thrown off or something. She was starting to sound sloppy and distracted, But Carly Smithson is back everyone. I can only hope that she will keep it up next week. Who knows if she will even be here next week, you can never really know since they seem to kick of the good ones from time to time.

Anyway, I think she deserves to comeback again. If she had another weird performance I would say it was her time to go. If she can keep this up she might just be a front runner again. I also thought the whole T-shirt thing was cute too. It was funny how the shirt said Simon loves me with this week in parenthesis. You never know with Simon right.

This is another reason why I like Carly, she has a great personality and her accent is really cool. I am just so happy that she sang well this week. I was starting to lose hope with her. She really has the talent to be a powerhouse singer if she can just pick the right songs and focus. I hope she comes back and starts giving everyone a run for their money. I bet she was really happy because she was one of the only ones that got a good review from Simon. That is the only one they really care about so good for you girl. Keep it up and make us proud.
