Brooke White Flubs You Must Love Me on American Idol

Brooke White sang, "You Must Love Me" on American Idol this week for Andrew Lloyd Webber week. What a mess. I love this girl, but I think you only get one pass when it comes to messing up and starting over. She still sounded good, but it is hard to get past forgetting the lyrics and just stopping to start over. I don't think that is very professional.

She should have faked it and went on. This is Broadway week. She could have said anything and most people would have never known. The first time she did this when she sang "Let it Be" I gave her the benefit of the doubt because it wasn't that bad of a mess up and she did really awesome with the song. Not to mention it was the first time she had done it so everyone is allowed one mistake. But now she does it again and only really has a mediocre song. Sorry Brooke. I love you, but you need to step it up.

With all that said I still don't think she is going home. She is definitely vulnerable, but I think it might be Jason Castro's time to go. She may have got lucky this week. We will just have to wait and see. I will give her one thing though; she really gets into the music. I think that is why she wanted to start over because it messed up her vibe. When she sings you usually feel like she means the words that are coming out of her mouth. She also seems like a really sweet girl and she owns up to her mistakes and doesn't cry about it.

I was glad to see that she was putting on a brave face and still smiling even though the judges let her have it. Without this week I really like Brooke. I think she has a very unique, raw tone to her voice that is very pretty and I know I would like her album. She is just refreshing to listen too. If she gets to stick around maybe she will knock it out of the park next time.
