Homemade Acne Treatment

Acne Potions Made at Home

Most experts will tell you that having a nice complexion requires keeping the face very clean, eating well, and drinking lots of water. Although these techniques do help prevent acne thousands of teens are
stricken with it regardless. Over-the-counter medicines have greatly improved over the years and for the most part they work well. But, for some kids the chemicals used in these ointments can cause irritation and further skin problems, or the ointments simply don't work.

One way to effectively treat acne is to keep face clean from oils, make-up and dirt. Washing the face a couple of times a day helps but for added cleanliness try a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol before bed. Not only does alcohol help dry the skin of oil but it also kills bacteria-causing germs. And since bacteria is at the heart of acne and blemishes it's important to keep skin free of it's dangers.

Using alcohol more frequently than once daily can cause skin to peel or become irritated. Alcohol is especially helpful when the effects of a pimple are first being felt. Often, the skin around the area of a pimple-to-be can begin to sting or feel sore when rubbed. Upon first noticing this condition douse the area (and only this area) with alcohol three times daily.

Those who have really oily skin have particular complexion problems which often result in blackheads. Oatmeal is one way to treat oily skin and it's inexpensive. Oatmeal is very dry and absorbs oil from the skin. Make a thick paste from oatmeal and water then apply to the face in the morning and evening. Allow the paste to stay on face for 10 to 20 minutes before rinsing with cool water.

Another effective facial mask for those with oily skin is made from honey and apples. After grating the apple into a fine pulp mix in four tablespoons of honey and apply to face for ten minutes. Or beat an egg white until stiff and add a few drops of witch hazel and a few drops of lemon juice. Spread the mixture over the face and leave for fifteen minutes. Rinse well with barely warm water.

Oh and don't wash your face with any acne product, those products are designed to keep you coming back for more, so they never actually fix your acne problem. What you could do is just wash your face with some organic baking soda and water. Keep in mind that acne comes from the inside out, so don't worry so much about overly washing your face and worry more about the food you're eating... eat less sugary foods and junk foods that are high in chemicals, and remember that all acne is either caused by fungus or toxins from food. Hope this helps, I had severe acne for years until I found out what was REALLY causing my acne... If anyone wants any more tips on how to get rid of acne, you can email me at metaphorbeats@yahoo.com

There is a method of mixing the baking soda with maple syrup in order to trick the fungus into eating it. You also want to be careful of how much baking soda you ingest orally because it can leave you dehydrated, so drink plenty of water and no more than a teaspoon of baking soda a day... Then use three tablespoons of maple syrup and one tablespoon of ORGANIC BAKING SODA "Red Mill" brand is best. (you probably wanna use organic maple syrup too) Then take the mixture and heat it on very low heat on the stove so that it blends the baking soda with the maple syrup. Do not heat it for too long, just a minute or two on low heat because you don't wanna cook it. After you're done with your mixture, take only one teaspoon every day for six days, then take a break for six days off. Keep repeating the method of six days on and six days off until your acne vanishes... (drink plenty of PH balanced water and stay away from the junk food toxins)Oh and don't wash your face with any acne product, thos

The truth is that alcohol is REALLY BAD for your body and especially bad for your skin and does not help even the slightest bit to cure acne or even treat it. Alcohol can irritate the skin and cause tremendous breakouts. If you want to cure your acne problem, you have to adjust you PH level by eating more alkaline fruits and vegetables and staying away from acidifying junk foods that lower your PH level. Most kids get acne from the junk food and sugar they eat. Acne is a fungus and junk food and sugar feeds the fungus. In order to get rid of the acne fungus you can use the same household ingredient that gets rid of the fungus in your fridge... BAKING SODA or sodium bicarbonate. Do not use the arm and hammer brand because it contains too many toxic chemicals like aluminum. You should use an organic baking soda like RED MILL BAKING SODA, you can get this from Whole Foods supermarket or any supermarket that specializes in organic foods. Oh if anyone did not notice, the comment just posted was in response towards the "Anonymous" person who basically said that if one washes their face "properly" one would not get acne. (Not the Anonymous person directly below me)

That is a really ignorant comment to make. Some people have problems with acne even if they do wash properly. Just because you are not one of them does not mean these treatments are not necessary. Also, work on your double negatives, "none of these treatment are not necessary." (actually you said nessary, which I do not believe is a word) In that statement you are saying all of those treatments are necessary, and then go on to say something opposed to that statement.
