Shopping for me is a form of therapy, and escape from a busy (or boring) work day. It gets the blood flowing; and I, like a lion on the hunt for the perfect piece to satisfy the hunger am always on the prowl. I leave when I'm satisfied, and full.

Nothing sucks more than thinking you found the perfect 'IT' item, then you get home and feel like you have just been taken.

I have had my eye on a COACH Hampton's Signature Dot Ponytail Scarf. I'm a sucker for name brand, what can I say. Not only that though, I always see my favorite reality star Lauren Conrad wearing these interesting hair scarves, and they always look great on her.

After looking up this ponytail scarf online at the official COACH website, and learning that is came to a jaw dropping $38.00, I stood clear of it. I tried day in and day out to tell myself I needed it; but the penny pincher in me told me to skip. So I skipped for quite some time.

Last night however my boyfriend and I took his mother out to dinner, which conveniently is located right next to the mall. My poison. Keep me away.

I initially went into the mall for a quick pick up of some eyeshadow at MAC... I somehow ended up in COACH though, and I knew exactly what I wanted. Like a true pro.

"Scuzzze me, you wouldn't happen to have a COACH Hampton's Signature Dot Ponytail Scarf?" (I felt like Ralphie in a Christmas Story, describing his Official Red Ryder BB Gun).

She brought me to the rack of COACH Ponytail Scarves, and low and behold there it was. A beautiful piece of ummm.... fabric. Errr...for $40!?

I didn't think about it at the time, but right now I totally regret dropping that much money on a freaking piece of fabric. See it wouldn't of been soooo terrible if the ponytail holder actually had some 'hold'.

I grabbed it, as if it were the last one in existence, and before I knew it I was rung up and sent on my merry little way.

At home I removed the piece of fabric (which is 100% silk by the way), which was wrapped in tons of paper, and even bagged in a gorgeous lil' COACH gift bag. They truly want to make sure you feel like you got a good deal. All of this paper for a frigging 35 inch long piece of silk.
