Are you looking for somewhere to spend your Halloween? Well I have the perfect place. Salem Massachusetts, Salem is to Halloween as New Orleans is to Marti Gras. If you want to be spooked and scared stiff then here is your place. They offer ghost tours, several museums, haunted houses, and every year the witches do their ceremonial circle. A short drive from Boston, Salem is a beautiful coastal city. Any time of the year it’s a great place to visit whether it is for the ocean view, the history or just the haunted fun.
Massachusetts is a beautiful state in the autumn so October is the best time of year and the most popular to visit Salem. If you chose to visit Salem you should plan your trip ahead to get the most out of it.
I would suggest visiting the museums, Hollywood House of Wax, House of the Seven Gables, New England Pirate Museum, Peabody Essex Museum, Salem Wax Museum, Stephen Phillips Memorial Trust House, Salem Witch Museum, Salem's Museum of Myths and Monsters, Spellbound Museum, Witch Dungeon Museum, Witch History Museum, and Witch House. A variety of museums and displays also memorials and haunted houses such as Salem Witch Trials Memorial, Witch Mansion in 3D, Terror on the Wharf, Salem Willows Amusement Park, Salem Strolls, Ghost walks , and many more.
During the holidays especially they do live reenactments of a trial in which you follow them to the hall and partake in a trail. It’s very entertaining to watch and learn about how the trials took place.
