How to Become a Successful Squidoo Lensmaster (Part 3)
Use Social Media and Fresh Content to Boost Your Squidoo Lens Traffic
I have already explained in previous articles how to make a Squidoo lens SEO friendly and how to use Squidoo's community to increase your chances of becoming a successful Squidoo lensmaster. I will now focus on the use of social media and fresh contentSubmit your Squidoo lens to social bookmarking websites: while I am not sure how this helps increasing your Squidoo lensrank, having extra backlinks and exposing your lens to the social bookmarking (Digg, StumbleUpon...) and networking websites (Facebook, MySpace...) you are a member of certainly helps your lens getting listed in the search engines and therefore it will also bring more traffic to your Squidoo lens.
Email your Squidoo lens to friends and family. Don't spam them of course but if your lens is on a topic someone you know is interested in, go ahead and encourage them to do the same with their own social network; if your lens is good, it will go viral.
Submit your lens to directories. You may think directories are just for blogs or websites but there are some directories that accept other kind of content as well. Submit your Squidoo lens to Google, Technorati and other directories that accept Squidoo lenses. There are a few directories that have been created specially for Squidoo lenses, so by all means use them. You can also submit your Squidoo lenses to Google Base, which accepts offline and online content.
