Writing comes from life. It is about being open to what is and making sense of life. Its about finding your voice in a world that is weary from too much information. Find what's true in your heart, write from truth. Write from your heart. If you are like me and like to write poetry, some of my most influential pieces have been true. My line about "having and wanting are two different things" is a sentiment many people apparently share. And it kept me writing.

I grew up listening to Opera and it is filled with drama and heartbreak, and I know first hand how heartbreak can inspire someone. We all need to feel like we aren't alone in this world. Like others know who we are. That's why so many people have train wreck lives on reality shows. They want to become famous, so they become infamous. People post scandalous pictures for money and notoriety. Anna Nicole Smith died because she lived this sort of life.

We don't have to judge, we don't have to partake, but we must be aware of ourselves as spiritual beings and realize that, they had, like Jesus said, "Inherited the world but lost their souls. So many people want to be known, that they will forsake their families, and beliefs for a little fame, and glamour and notoriety.

So many people's lives are so devoid of morals and a sense of right and wrong that they are morally bankrupt. I see so many people's families have tensions, if they just got along, there would be a lot less stress. Work isn't even the biggest issue in our lives. Our families and friends and loved ones can influence us.

That's why so many people feel so stressed out. And that's why writers need to create an atmosphere of love through our writing. If all we know is heart ache and trouble, we will write from that. But if we know God's perfect love for us, we can write from security and know that no matter what happens, we are held to a higher authority.

Takeaways
  • Writing can touch the soul
  • Writers have a moral obligation to seak the truth
  • Whatever the price is to becoming a writer, we need to be prepared for it.
Did You Know?
I don't know about others, but spirituality is a big part of my life and my writing. I am still growing in the Lord, and David was said to have fought the Good fight. I want to fight the good fight too and not just let life run over me.
