During the 7th Season of American Idol, rocker David Cook has already impressed audiences with rock renditions of popular pop songs like "Hello", "Billie Jean", and "Little Sparrow". One of his most memorable performances was a rock rendition of the Mariah Carey track "Always Be My Baby". Fans loved the song and it makes it seem like Cook is a natural to do rock covers of popular pop songs. With so many pop songs there, which ones should David Cook cover? Read list the below and see what you think.

Oasis- "Wonderwall": This track is already excellent in itself, and it probably should not be touched, but if anyone should give it a try, David Cook should. He has shown vocally that he can sing just about anything, and with a few changes in the composing of the song, "Wonderwall" could be a huge hit again for a whole new generation.

No Doubt- "Don't Speak": When No Doubt and Gwen Stefani burst onto the scene, one of their most popular songs was the ballad "Don't Speak". Even though it is sung by a female, David Cook can easily transform this song into his own, singing the main chorus with a deep voice and maybe even impressing No Doubt.

Backstreet Boys- "I Want it That Way": Who can think of 1990s music and leave out the boy band craze. Out of groups like N'Sync, 98 degrees, and LFO, the Backstreet Boys may have been the best and one of their most popular hits is "I Want It That Way". Getting rid of the pop music and infusing the song with a lot of great rock riffs could completely change it and complemented with Cook's voice will cement it on the airwaves. Another great Backstreet Boys track that could be covered is "Backstreet's Back".

Alanis Morissette- "Ironic": David Cook would easily take over this song on the chorus alone. Just imagine him singing "It's like rain, on your wedding day!" He would extend the end of rain and the rest of the song would not matter because the audience would be hooked. He would not have to change much of composition either; just his voice would do the trick on this track.
