I have always liked the oatmeal crème sandwiches from Little Debby and while I was out shopping recently a new snack that I had not noticed before caught my eye. The picture of the oatmeal cookie on the front of the box looked delicious. They are filled with yogurt and I decided to give them a trial run.

The oatmeal cookie itself is soft, airy and chewy. They taste just like a fresh batch of cookies that your Grandmother would bake up. The cookies have a bumpy texture and you can see all of the grains of oats bundled up together. The yogurt filling that is sandwiched in between the cookie is light, smooth and creamy. There is a subtle taste of vanilla also. The yogurt reminds me a lot of Yoplait because of the thick, whipped consistency it has. The filling is not sweet at all.
I placed one of the oatmeal cookies in the microwave for twenty five seconds and it was like I had a bowl of hot oatmeal and it is all inside of this little round cookie.

This was excellent. It really made me want to go out and try to get some of these and eat them right now. I like the concept of having them filled with yogurt though. How nifty.

Sounds like a tastier & healthier alternative to those Little Debbie's oatmeal cookies (which also happen to be one of our favorites!) :)
