Why Do Most Christians Not Believe the Words of Christ?

Was Christ a liar? Was he a false prophet? Did he make predictions of things that didn't come true? When he said they would? The way he said they would? Is Matthew 24's "The Olivet Discourse" simply a bunch of metaphors that don't really mean anything? Is our being here proof that Christ
lied because he had predicted the end of the world would come before now?

Do you believe these things? Do you believe any of these things?

If you doubt/disbelieve/disallow Christ because he failed on anything, I'd like to challenge you.

Christ spoke of Eschatology; the time of the end, or; the last days. Some believe Christ predicted these things would come upon the people living then but these people also believe that since some or none of them actually happened; this proves Christ a false prophet, false Christ, false messiah; possibly even misguided himself. Some even believe Christ was a good man, with good intentions, but that he could not have been the prophesied messiah for various reasons.

Christ was the prophesied Messiah; He did everything he said he'd do, the way he said it, when he said it would happen. Things and events took place that he prophesied; just as he said they would happen.

Problems do; and will exist in the interpretations of the metaphors, parables and words in scripture and this directly affects our thinking, understanding, knowledge and wisdom of the words in scripture.

Based on the assumption that the predictions & prophecies of the New Testament; even those simply carried forward from various books in the Old Testament that spoke of the same things and/or time, were truly from God; they will have to be proven faultless or God, Christ, The Apostles & Prophets are all proven to be false in some way, part or whole.
