I do not believe that Scott Hall can recover his wrestling career after another rehab for alcohol.Scott Hall is going to be 50 this year and I think that it is getting over the hill and not really physically capable of becoming a wrestler again. The only way I see it happening is if the rehab really works and Scott Hall takes a year or two to get back into shape in the right frame of mind to really focus on his career. By that time he will be in his 50s and ready to retire like Ric flair. You just do not see many pro wrestlers still wrestling in their mid-to-late 50s. It seems rather absurd to try to get back into wrestling and Scott Hall's age.
Scott Hall has had numerous chances to clean up is alcoholism and really get back into wrestling. Kevin Nash and many others have stood by him throughout his alcoholism. Wrestling organizations like WWE and WCW have taken him back time and time again. Scott Hall has been given 10 times more chances to renew his career than most wrestlers have. How many times can he keep going through the same problems with alcoholism?
Obviously, none of the past attempts to cure Scott Hall's alcoholism has worked. I do not call it a cure when a person repeatedly goes back to drinking.
I think that Scott Hall's last chance to redeem his career was at the 2007 TNA pay-per-view, Turning Point, back in December. He was to tag team with Kevin Nash and Samoa Joe to take on Kurt Angle, A.J. Styles, and Tomko. Scott Hall was a no-show and Eric Young took his place. Before the match, Samoa Joe gave a speech against Scott Hall, which was supposedly a real speech rather than a kayfabe. It's not known if the no-show was kayfabe or not but it seems real, even though Hall appeared at Juggalo Championship Wrestling on December 21, 2007.
Another reason why I do not think that Scott Hall can or should return to wrestling because he has more problems than just alcoholism. He has heart problems and had to have surgery in 2003. Hall experienced weight gain due to prescription steroids after his surgery. Hall also suffers from kidney ailments. With all of these problems, I think that Scott Hall should focus on his out of ring life if he wants to live at all.
