If you're like me, you know that sometimes it can be kind of tough to find an appropriate Bible verse for a Mother's Day card or letter. After all, it's not like you can just open up your Bible software on your computer and search for the word "mother" and come up with something really great. Maybe you've tried it before, and discovered that there are maybe only one or two search results that are even suitable! So here are some scriptures I've gathered together to help you out.

-if you admire your mom for the way she is wise and encouraging with her words
She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
Proverbs 31:26 ESV

-if your mom is one of those exemplary women whose children and husband admire and respect her
Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
Proverbs 31:28 ESV

-if the mom on your list is a young mom with small children (this one was always encouraging to me personally)
He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.
Isaiah 40:11 ESV

-if you just want to bless a mom
May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
Jude 1:2 ESV

-if your mom has been an example of all these wonderful traits
with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
Ephesians 4:2 ESV

-if you want to let her know you pray for her
I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,
Ephesians 1:16 ESV

-if she's the epitome of love
Let all that you do be done in love.
1 Corinthians 16:14 ESV

-if your mom demonstrates these virtues of faith, hope and love (or charity, as it says in the King James Version)
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13 ESV

-if your mom is ever your biggest fan, no matter what
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:7 ESV

-if your mom is proud of you
Let your father and mother be glad; let her who bore you rejoice.
Proverbs 23:25 ESV

Very informative scriptures. I might have to refer back to them in the future. That's for bringing these scriptures to light.
