IN MY HEAD

It lies in a dormant state,
Until one day it lashes out violently,
Exploding into a never ending battle,
Of self-loathing and hatred.

That despise of myself escalates,
Until it reaches new heights,
Of irrational thoughts and ideas,
That creates mayhem in my mind.

It then torments me like a captor,
Invoking thoughts of mutilation,
Infecting the constant suffocation,
Now awakened in my head.

Turn the gear one more time, throw the fear out of your mind. Don't give in to irrational lust, make new headway in loving trust. We all want more, but more isn't always fine, sometimes it is better just to calm our frenetic mind. -DrD

Very honest poem and you said much in few words. What a great choice of photo too. I do hope you have someone to reach out to if and when you feel this way...we all need that--though sometimes it may feel like no one is listening. Don't forget your fellow CPs that care about you too!!
