Compared to his Democratic opponents, Republican Presidential hopeful- John McCain- seems rather drab, in contrast. Maybe if Romney or Huckabee had had enough support to stay the course, McCain would have been able to have some nasty verbal smackdowns like the Democrats, which would have increased his appeal.
