Months of enduring endless primaries, watching debates and having to listen to Presidential candidates verbally bash each other can take their toll on your nerves. There is nothing more cathartic than playing games to help vent your frustration.

You can find some web-based political games online to help accomplish this. Some are more current, some are older and some may be controversial.

The decision as to whether you choose to play any of these is based upon your individual preference.

Some of the political games I found were:

Obama vs. Hillary Street Fight

Things get ugly when Hillary and Obama face off in this game. You pick which of the two candidates you prefer and then try to outfight your rival.

I was sort of conflicted with this one.

I realize that Obama vs. Hillary Street Fight is tongue-in-cheek, but, even in the spirit of it being a game to express some degree of frustration with both of these candidates, I just didn't feel comfortable with the "violence towards women" thing, even in jest.

Presidential Paintball

If you love online paintball games, you should have a blast playing Presidential Paintball, with a cast of characters that includes all of the players, both current and former, who have been Presidential wanna-bes for Election 2008.

Presidential Knockout

Take a trip down memory lane to the fiasco that was election 2004 and choose whether you want John Kerry or George W. Bush as your opponent, before taking some virtual punches to see who triumphs. No hanging chads allowed.

President Forever 2008 + Primaries

Although they have this game for sale, you don't have to buy it in order to try it out. It's a complicated- at least to me-strategy-simulation game that is best suited for more seasoned gamers. It deals with realistic things like candidates, primaries, elections, issues, dealing with how each candidate plans the strategy that will take him or her to the winning spot, etc..
