Gift Ideas for the Coin Collector

There are more coin collectors out there than you may realize.  More than likely, you know at least one person who is a coin collector.  They may have several coins and may even spend hours searching eBay for new coins.  Really coin collecting is an investment.  After all, coins are usually made out of silver and sometimes gold, both of which continue to increase in price.  There are several great gifts that coin collectors would love.  Here are just a few great ideas:




Coin Cases:  Coins can get scratched and worn.  Protecting the coin in a case just makes sense.  This gift is very useful for coin collectors.  You can buy coin cases that are tubes and will hold several coins or you can buy cases that protect individual coins.  All of these cases can be bought in various sizes.  I suggest giving the coin collector several different sizes.




Keepsake Box:  This makes a great gift for coin collectors.  They can keep all of their coins in one box and not risk losing or damaging any of them.  I suggest buying a keepsake box that is velvet lined so that the coins do not get scratched. 




Safe:  Coin collecting is, after all, an investment.  A coin collector who has several coins needs to protect this investment.  This is why a safe makes a wonderful investment.  I suggest buying a safe that can be bolted to the floor.  Not only will the coin collector be able to store their coins in their, but they’ll also be able to store their other valuables in there as well.




Different Coins:  When I say different, I mean coins that are unusual.  For example, you can buy coins that have the coin collectors’ Chinese birth year symbol on them.  You can also buy coins that incorporate another one of their interests.  There are coins that have rock stars, actors, dragons, football teams, and so much more on them.  These would make perfect gifts.
