Taking your children to the park is a great way to expend some of that pent up energy from winter. Parks usually have ample running space and great playground equipment all in one area. Most families make a whole day of fun when they travel to the park. Taking your children to the park can also be a very stressful and dangerous day so it is important to be prepared and plan ahead. Here are a few ways that you can make your children safe and allow yourself to have fun at the park as well. 1. Bring everything but the kitchen sink
Okay, you do not really have to bring that many things with you to the park. However, here are a few of the main items that you should bring with you for a safe and fun day at the park:
-First-aid Kit
-Snacks and Drinks ( make sure to include lots of water)
-Sunblock
-Outside toys like bubbles, sidewalk chalk, etc.
-Baby Wipes
-Trash Bags
-Change of clothing for all children
-Extra socks
These are the basic items that one should bring to the park with the kids. This should head of any major meltdowns and problems that can ruin a day at the park if you are not prepared.
2. Keep Company
Make sure to stay in an area where there are other people with children but not where there are a large group. This will keep you and your children from sticking out to possible predators as much and the smaller sized crowd will allow you to easily keep an eye on your child. Watch for people that are walking near the playground that have no children. This could be a possible perpatraror that is stalking possible victims.
3. Eat and Break
Make sure that you make your children stop and get plenty of water and food. Hungry kids will resort in cranky kids and that is the last thing that you want when you are expecting a day of fun.
Use these tips to insure a stress free day at the park. Everyone will enjoy the day and be safe doing it.
