What to Write in a Mother's Day Card

Mothers are the most important women in our lives. They're much more important than our sisters, aunts, nieces, daughters, girlfriends and wives. After all, our mothers helped God and our earthly fathers to bring us into this world. Without our mothers we would not exist.

Think about all the pain and suffering our mothers have been through. Not only have they had to endure pain and suffering to bring us into the world, they also had to bear much of the burden for caring for us throughout our lives. But through it all, a mother's love is something beautiful. Despite the many trials and tribulations we and others put them through, our mothers still love us.

When young ladies and young men reach a certain age, the bond between these young people and their mothers is often strained. Mothers have a hard time reaching their sons and daughters during this stage in their lives, because their children are caught between being little girls and boys to becoming women and men, respectively. In essence, the children are growing up.

Good mothers want to mentor their daughters by setting a good example and being their daughters' role model. They want to protect their daughters from the trials they, themselves have had to endure. Good mothers also want to protect their sons from the dangers of peer pressure, and keep them out of trouble. Good mothers know how to guide their sons and daughters in the right direction, while not being overly restrictive, allowing them the freedom to make their own choices.

In many instances, young people have a hard time seeing things from their mother's point of view. Often they become rebellious and stubborn. However, an understanding young lady or young man will learn how to appreciate his or her mother for the wonderful woman she is, and will accept her wisdom and guidance in all matters. Appreciating her mother's advice is the first step to a young lady learning how to treat the men in her life. Respecting his mother's guidance is the first step to a young man learning how to treat other women in his life.

Takeaways
  • Despite all the pain and suffering our mothers have to endure, they still love us.
  • A mother's love is something beautiful.
  • Because mothers are so special, they deserve a card reflective of how dear they are to us.
