So, I hear your craving homemade banana bread, but you don't have the time to make one from scratch. That's okay! I am going to give you the recipe for a Semi Homemade Banana Bread that only takes 10 minutes to make and 30 minutes to bake. Now how fast and easy does that sound?

The first thing you want to do is Pre-Heat your oven to about 375, and not any higher. You don't want to burn your bread.

Secondly, You want to take out a loaf pan and grease the bottom and sides of it with butter, or a non-stick spray. You can take out a muffin pan as well and make little muffins if you prefer muffins over a bread loaf. Just remember to line your muffin pan with cupcake liners so your muffins don't stick to the pan, and again you could spray the muffin pan with non-stick spray. It will work just as well.

Third, Make sure you have a box of banana bread mix . It can be any brand you have available to you in your local grocery store. Then you will need 3 large bananas, and make sure there really ripened and soft. You don't want hard unripened bananas to work with while making your bread because there hard to work with, and they aren't sweet enough. Next you will need to take out one large mixing bowl, a large mixing spoon, and a masher.

The Fourth step to making this bread is to mash the 3 large bananas in the mixing bowl with a masher. You want the bananas completely mashed, and to have the constancy of pudding. Reason being is the bananas are easier to mix into your banana mixture.

Fifth step would be to open your banana bread mixture from the box, and then pour the banana bread mixture into the bowl with the mashed bananas. Then slowly combined these to ingredients together.

The Sixth step is , You need to measure out 1/2 cup of vegetable oil and dump it into the bowl that had your banana bread mixture in it. If you don't have vegetable oil use a 1/2 a cup of butter. Then mix this into your banana bread mixture with your mixing spoon.

Seventh step for your Banana Bread is to add 1/2 cup of water, and one egg to the bowl. If you want a cake like bread add milk instead of water. This will make your bread very moist.

Takeaways
  • You don't need to make a homemade banana bread from scratch to get it to taste homemade.

Sounds so easy and wonderful. I make my grandmothers banana bread recipe (see my article) but this one sounds a lot faster. Do you think I could cheat and bake this next time instead? Hmmm!! I'll have to try that.
