People.com has caused an online stir with its report that Mario Lopez and KarinaSmirnoff, who met on Dancing With the Stars have broken up. People.com has also linked Michael Yo to the lovely Karina Smirnoff. According to E!, the story as reported by People.com is not true.

People.com published a short five-paragraph article claiming that a "source" told People.com that the couple split up. The short and popular People.com article also reported that Dancing with the Stars dancer Karina Smirnoff was seen with Michael Yo, host of a call-in talk show "Yo on E!," according to IMDB.com and E!.

According to the People.com article, Karina Smirnoff and Michael Yo were seen "dancing and canoodling" at Hollywood hot spot Beso. (People.com) Beso is owned by Eva Longoria of Desperate Housewives fame.

Canoodling, for those of you unfamiliar with the term means petting or fondling.

E! Counters "It's All Good"

E! has reacted with their own "exclusive" story which contains direct quotes on the issue from both Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff. The E! article even references the People.com article mentioned above, starting their article with, "Despite recent reports" and a direct link to the People.com Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff Split story.

The E! story quotes both Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff as saying that everything is good.

Being Seen in Hollywood

Celebrities, especially those who star on popular shows like Dancing With the Stars cannot avoid being seen in Hollywood. When you are part of a Hollywood couple and you are seen with someone else, there will be talk.

According to both People.com and E! Online both Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff have not previously acknowledged their romantic relationship or the fact they live together.
