Should Americans be afraid of the Pentagon? The answer is clearly yes, though you never heard that news from your favorite mainstream American television journalism. Well, except for maybe Keith Olbermann. Aside from Olbermann, however, the biggest story of April 2008 was all but totally ignored by America's television "journalists" as they raced to see which of them could be first to turn their networks into the all-Rev. Wright, all the time channel. While Wolf Blitzer and Tucker Carlson and Katie Couric and, of course, all those actors portraying real journalists on Fox News were attempting to put Rev. Wright on for 61 minutes every hour, the news you didn't hear was how those very same people have spent the last six years presenting military spokesman as unbiased analysts of Pres. Bush's war when those generals and colonels and majors and probably even a few privates were in fact nothing more than well-paid propagandists for the Pentagon, Ronald Dumbsfailed, and the Napoleon and Josephine of our time, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

Ever since Bush and Cheney (and their love child, delicate Scooter Libby) concocted this insane plan to create a war from nothing and win the easily duped hearts and minds of millions upon millions of Americans who have suffered from the move toward standardized testing in schools and the move away from teaching how to think critically, there has been a never-ending parade of military analysts appearing on CNN, MSNBC, Fox, ABC, and CBS who have given the appearance to viewers that they were not connected with the Pentagon or the White House and so their opinions on how the war was coming along was entirely objective. Yeah, and Paula Abdul isn't high on goofballs.

The government, media, and their coporate sponsors have been waging war against the American people for a long time now. It's lucky for us that you can still more or less say whatever you want, as long as not too many people pay attention to you.

Great reporting. Helen Thomas has a new book coming out about the lack of real news coverage....should be interesting.

Your right - it should have been a huge story. Not just because of what happened, also because of how little it has resonated with most Americans.
