I hear many women complain about things they don't like about their appearance, but very few of them are actually doing anything about it. Whether you don't like how wide your nose is, want to make your eyes look larger, or want to fix almost any other flaw you might find with your face, don't think that unless you can afford plastic surgery there is no hope for you. All it takes is a little makeup to fix anything you don't like, not that anyone besides you probably notices it anyways.

In general I have come to accept my appearance and am pretty happy with it, except for one thing - my eyes. My eyes tend to look tired and droopy, no matter how rested I am, and when I am tired they look even worse. Since this is caused by the shape of my eyes, which point down, there is no permanent fix. However I don't let this bother me, instead I use makeup to make my eyes look more of an almond shape so they are brighter and I look less tired.

Making tired or droopy eyes look brighter with makeup is a very easy process. Trust me, if I can do it, so can you. First, using liquid eye liner or else a very sharp eye liner pencil if you aren't comfortable with liquid, line your upper eye lashes in an upward slop. Extend the line you draw so it reaches a tiny bit farther than the outer corner of your eyes. You don't want to put any liner on the bottom of your eyes because that will draw more attention to the fact that they point downwards. You want all the attention focused on the top of your eyes, so they appear more opened and bright.

Now for eye shadow! You should use a bone colored eye shadow and apply it just above your lashes and also to the inner V of your eyes. Then take a slightly darker shade of eye shadow and blend it from the crease of your eye continuing to right under your brow bone. These type of colors will make this area seem larger and if you add a light highlight just under your brow you will help to draw even more attention to the top of your eyes and less to the bottom.

If I am going out or just feel like looking extra dolled up, I then apply a few false eye lash pieces on the outer parts of my eyes, but this isn't necessary if you already are blessed with great lashes.
