The south coast of Australia has an abundance of romantic honeymoon destinations.

1. Port Campbell. Travel along Victoria's Great Ocean Road west of Melbourne to beautiful Port Campbell. This cozy inlet is nestled among the gentle rolling hills and his home to the cray fishing vessels whose daily haul provides you with the freshest seafood you could ask for. A comfortable Motel sits on the ridge at the top of town and provides a breathtaking view of the ocean. Seas can be calm and the waters clear, and within minutes a glorious thunderstorm appears from nowhere across the lookout point. It's 50 short steps to sit on the jetty in the evening to enjoy a bottle of wine and watch the waves.

2. Warrnambool. Fifty miles west of Port Campbell, Warrnambool is a larger rural center also situated on the "shipwreck coast". Here you are able to view the beautiful Humpback Whales and their calves basking in the cold, blue waters of the bay. Warrnambool has beautiful pine lined streets and is home to some of the best shopping facilities outside of Melbourne. Hotels are very well priced and start at around $AUD70 per night, some with breakfast included. Sample local cheeses and wine. This town is right in the middle of old dairy country and the selection of cheeses cannot be compared. Visit antique fairs and art galleries where loads of Australian memorabilia and unique souvenirs of historical significance are on sale cheap!
