I am going to watch the sneak preview tomorrow on October 17th of Ice-T’s Rap School just to see what’s going on. The show, which will feature Ice-T teaching rap to a bunch of 7th and 8th graders who like so don’t know rap, officially airs on October 20th but who knows, the sneak preview may be all I can take. On the other hand, maybe it will grow on me.

Flavor of Love did. Initially, I crossed paths with that show during a commercial channel-flicking episode and two women were about to come to blows so, uh, who wouldn’t want to watch a catfight or at least find out what it was all about? Two gals named Pumkin and New York were going at it and Pumkin spit in her face! After that, I felt compelled to tune in hoping someone would beat New York’s butt. That was in the middle of the first season and now, here we are at the end of the second season and I must admit that New York grew on me and I ended up hoping she would win the second season of The Flavor of Love, after Flav put her back in the game. Alas, something went awry and poor New York somehow got confused about who she was bossing around and mixed Flav up with the girls.  Thus, her mother’s prediction came true and though, once again, she got all the way to the final two and felt that it must be her destiny to be Mrs. Flava Flav, he ‘broke her heart’ again. Her MySpace was flooded – flooded, I tell you - with condolences and I love you messages.

Back to Ice-T, VH-1’s site claims that methods that will be employed in a quest to teach privileged youngsters the art of hip hop include rhyming, deejay, break dancing and intense personal sessions with Ice-T. This will also help these little dears overcome personal obstacles in their life, including any speech impediments they may have. That does strike me funny.
Maybe I’m the only one but I’ve always thought that Ice-T talks with a lisp. Wait a sec. A quick google search on the words "Ice-T" and "lisp" reveals that no, I’m not the only one.
