In the U.S. and other countries the drug Marijuana is illegal. However, many people use marijuana on a daily basis for either recreational or medical use. Some people smoke marijuana in pipes or rolled up. Others may consume marijuana through food. The main point of this article is not to promote the use of marijuana but to analyze the question "Is it better to eat or smoke Marijuana?" The answer of this question will involve a social, health, and legal analysis.

The first way to answer the question "Is it better to eat or smoke Marijuana?" is to look at it from a sociological way. People who want to socialize with other people may pick to smoke marijuana instead of eat it. Smoking marijuana can create social bonds with others especially if it is your first time using marijuana. Smoking marijuana is usually how people begin using it. When a person smokes marijuana they have control over the amount they want to consume. They can either decide to take a little or more. From this aspect smoking marijuana may be better.

However, some people may say eating or consuming marijuana is better from a sociological aspect. Consuming or eating marijuana can also be a way to socialize with other people but there is more secrecy about it. When marijuana is consumed it is usually in some kind of food item like a brownie, cookie, and etc. By putting the marijuana in a food item it is hiding the drug from sight and smell. Smoking marijuana on the other hand is more risky because people can smell it and see it. Also another social view is that if the marijuana is hidden is a food item it would be easier to distribute in public compared to smoking.
