The famous waterfalls in Niagara Falls, NY are a beautiful site to see. But, did you know that Niagara is also home to something else that is beautiful, as well tantalizing? The vineyards of Niagara produce award-winning wines, due to the area's naturally perfect wine-making climate. Niagara Wine Trail, a superb collection of 12 award-winning wineries/vineyards in the falls area, hosts many events. For only $20, the Vino Viso Passport can be purchased, which allows for a tasting at all 12 wineries for one year. Below are just a few of the vineyards along the Niagara Wine Trail, followed by tour information.

Thanks a bunch for reading and sharing everyone. Shamontiel, I don't drink at all, but I love the scenery of the vineyards. Yes, I have been on both sides and agree with you. The falls are so beautiful in both Canada and in upstate NY. I was actually born in upstate NY and cannot wait until I visit again - very pretty.

I'm not a big liquor drink (one drink a month at the most), but I LOVED Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. The New York side was cool, but sitting on the Canadian side by those rocks watching the colors change was a natural high. If you've never been, please go.

I'm from that area and didn't know about all those wineries - will have to check them out when I go home. I've only been to the Niagara Falls, Ontario wineries to sample ice wine.

I really liked the nice, tight layout of the wineries and the amount of information you put into this one. It'd make an excellent list to take along or to use when planning a trip to the area.
