How does one expect their child to grow up knowing right from wrong if the values are not instilled on the child early? Too many of our nations children are growing up without the discipline that they need to survive in the "real world." There are many ways to discipline your children with out having to spank or smack them. True, when I grew up, it was okay to spank your kids, it was something that most parents did. "Just wait until your father gets home" is something I heard many times growing up, and I knew, as soon as he would walk through the front door, I was in for a spanking with "the belt." I know, that now, if you do that to your children, you can get them taken away from you and even face jail time. Being a parent is a very stressful job and most of the time you want to rip out all your hair, but you have to step back and think about the best way to handle even the worst situations. Well, no one sane wants to hit their kids with a belt, so I have learned some tricks that will help children mind without spanking. Now, these tricks come from actual experience. I have two young children, ages two and four, and this is the very best time to teach the children the differences between what is morally and lawfully wrong and right. To do so, my wife and I use other methods of discipline rather than spanking.
