Best Next-Generation Video Game Controller: Xbox 360, Wii or PS3?

With the recent release of the Dual Shock 3 for the Playstation 3, next-generation controllers are finally complete. The Dual Shock 3, Wii Remote & Nunchuck and Xbox 360 Controller all have different pluses and minuses. So which next-generation controller is the best? Let's rank them.

Rumble
1. Dual Shock 3 and Xbox 360 Controller
Both controllers can rumble and does it pretty well. You can't really distinguish between these two if you try.

2. Wii Remote & Nunchuck
The Wii Remote also rumbles but the Nunchuck, for some odd reason, does not. It can feel quite weird when one hand can feel the rumble while the other won't be able to.

Innovation
1. Wii Remote & Nunchuck
Not many people buy a home console just for a controller but that is what exactly happened with the Wii Remote & Nunchuck. The revolutionary motion capabilities captured the minds of many gamers, including those who don't normally play games.

2. Dual Shock 3 and Xbox 360 Controller
Aside from a few small differences, the Dual Shock 3 and Xbox 360 Controller is a carbon copy of the Dual Shock 2 and Xbox Controller S, respectively. The Sixaxis motion capabilities for the Dual Shock 3 can be considered an innovation, but no one has really taken advantage of it.

Button Placement
1. Xbox 360 Controller
The button layout is almost exactly the same as the Dual Shock 3 with one exception: the left analog stick is in a more natural position. The Xbox 360 Controller's directional pad is pretty awful, however. Since there are more games that use the left analog stick than the direction pad, the Xbox 360 Controller come out on top.

2. Dual Shock 3
Likewise, the Dual Shock's left analog stick feel unnatural while the directional pad is pretty solid. It is the best controller for 2D games.

3. Wii Remote & Nunchuck
Nintendo wanted Nintendo Wii controller to use its motion capabilities extensively. Unfortunately, that means a limited amount of buttons available. Thus, playing a traditional game may feel awkward at first.
