Extreme Fundamentalist Christians Don't Seem as Offensive to Cable Media
More Wrong Than Wright

"America's chickens are coming home to roost." It's not an analogy I would have chose, but I come much closer to an agreement with Rev. Wright than some of the other nonsensical ramblings that were given to us by other "men of god" post 9/11. My intentions are not to defend Jeremiah Wright... Not in the least, but if we are going to go so far as to base our presidential vote on what he said, we should examine the other side in depth as well. I'm not a big fan of Jeremiah Wright; nor am I a fan of any religious extreme. When people believe something blindly, but so intently that they believe they must be the only ones correct, they frequently become dangerous (in my opinion). I find fault in Jeremiah, not because he is unpatriotic, but because his message inherently divides human beings who are seemingly so caught up with being equal that they force themselves to tiptoe over the obvious to avoid offending the way another person looks or thinks. To cast a further division between groups that are inherently weary of each other barricades the path to success. I was under the impression that is what Barack Obama seemed to stand against.
Fox News doesn't report the potential of further race division via Reverend Wright, they (and many others) report that Jeremiah (and thus Obama) is unpatriotic due his observation that the terrorists on September 11th were upset with America. How dare you blame America! We are united in the lack of our own trespasses! Surely we have done nothing to upset other countries, namely the extremist groups that are doing that whole blind thing we spoke of earlier. On the other hand... I suppose there may be a reason they did not send the hijacked jumbo jets into Kenya.
Do not get me wrong, September 11th was the saddest day I hope to ever know. Not to mention the fact that it was scary as all hell... I found myself much more offended by the comments of Jerry Falwell after the atrocities of that most memorable day, than those made by Wright. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the comments that Falwell made on September 13th (one day after Wright took us to the coop), please allow me to enlighten you:
