Chasing Zoey 101 Back to My Younger Days
Okay this is pretty pathetic when I put the kids to bed and then watch a tween show. I certainly can't let my kids watch this show. It was action packed tonight with a "I love you" necklace, a break up, a rendition of Karate Kid, a secretive couple, and of course a Chase
to top it off. In the end everyone had a good time at prom even the "dates" that were used.
I have to admit watching this kind of reminded me of my younger years. It was a show I could sit back and laugh at. I wanted to call my best friend and tell her she had to watch this and do you remember when... I was definitely a PG kid by today's standards and having fun didn't take any effort at all. And if any of you can honestly say you have never played red light I will just never believe you. To show how embarrassing it was for me growing up, my father will still play red light! My brother and I just have to shake our heads.
I will never forget my best friend got this seventy something ford thunderbird. We are talking about the days before mommy and daddy bought the cars and paid for the insurance and gave out spending money. Okay guys, here's the kicker with this car. This ford thunderbird tank had a sun roof. We took it into "town" to cruise the "strip". If all of you have this one little piece of road you drive on, up and down all night long and hang out with your friends in the parking lots you have a strip. So my friend drives me toward the strip. We're talking and I'm still playing with all the gadgets in her new car. By the way, neither of us was drinking, and we were still having fun. We got to a stop light and we're sitting on a road that has two lanes going in the same direction. So I'm pushing buttons and I'm rolling the windows up and down. While we are at the light there is a business van beside of us. By this time everyone in the city was watching us. The sun roof is open so I stand up with my upper body out the top of the car and I'm saying hello to everyone. The guy in the van is laughing at me. My friend is trying to pull me back in the car. I know I embarrassed her on more than one occasion and I have to say I will always love her for not killing me during those years.
