Mock Fantasy Football Draft

I'm Already Thinking About Which Picks I'll Make, Are You?

You're sitting around at your fantasy football draft. But you have the same dilemma you face each and every year. Which player will provide the goods this season. It's sometimes unpredictable. But I have 10 players that can't miss in 2008-2009. Plus a couple of sleepers and weepers.

At least here's the way I would pick them and why.

10) Carson Palmer QB (Bengals)
Call me crazy but I think Palmer returns to form this season. If you still don't have your quarterback at this point then things are getting slim. And I mean slim.
Palmer is the guy and will be the guy in Cincy. There's not a revolving door like other situations. And he will make an impact once again this season. If you aren't set on a quarterback then Frank Gore (RB) of San Francisco would be a good alternative.

9) Tony Romo QB (Cowboys)
He's got the receivers. He's got experience. It's time for Romo to finally be the quarterback everyone has predicted him to be. There aren't that many good QB's out there. So if you don't land a strong RB in the first five picks you may start thinking about taking a guy who can singlehandedly win your fantasy game on a weekly basis.

8) Joseph Addai RB (Colts)
As long as Peyton is occupying the defense the Addai will always be a good fantasy footballer. Addai will see the red zone many times this season and will benefit from defenses trying to sack Peyton every single play. Whether it's a dump off screen or a draw up the middle, Addai will put up good numbers.

7) Adrian Peterson RB (Vikings)
It's well worth the gamble at number 7 to take Peterson here. The word "knee" always seems a little scary when it comes to fantasy football. Peterson seemed to fully recover but had a little inconsistency toward the end of last season. If the Vikings can't pass the ball then Peterson may struggle on his own terms. I say he still puts up decent numbers and is a good feature back either way.
