Like many children's museums, San Antonio Children's Museum has exhibits that are very reflective of the life that children see around them in the state of Texas. Kids can get involved in permanent exhibits that include driving a kid sized Front End Loader, working as pilots or attendants on the museum's Runway #9 or operating a Kid Power elevator taking you to the top of the museum tower. A new permanent exhibit lets kids explore a model of the Edwards Aquifer that supplies most of the drinking water for South Central Texas. For younger children there is the "Tot Spot" outfitted to meet the play and discovery needs of the under 5 set. There is even a "kidz cafe" at your service.
Hours during the months from Mar- Sept are Mon- Fri 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. ; Sat. 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sun. from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is $7 per person with kids under 2 admitted free. To organize a child's party, work out a discounted ticket arrangement or for more information call at 210-212-4453.
