If you love the outdoors, then you have probably come across one particular situation, which can lead to panic if you're not prepared. This situation can happen in a moments notice, and it always starts off by wondering what path you're on. If you have ever been lost in the woods or on water, then you understand the importance of knowing where you're going. However, without a detailed map, and person who can read this map, you may be asking for trouble. There are some GPS devices that have been specifically made to help those who find themselves lost in the great outdoors. The Garmin GPSMAP Handheld GPS Receiver, Model: 76CSx allows you to never become lost, and best of all, it fits within the palm of your hand. Product Ratings:
User-Friendliness: 4/5 Stars
Product Features: 4.5/5 Stars
Product Price: 3.5/5 Stars
Overall Rating: 4/5 Stars
Main Product Features:
What I loved about this GPS device was how it will actually make fishing and hunting easier for those who enjoy these activities. Within the device, there is a celestial table for both the sun and moon, which features calculations and information about the best time of day and night to start hunting or fishing.
If you enjoy hiking within the mountains, then you will enjoy the Saved Tracks feature. This feature allows you to retrace the path you are taking through a 500-point system. This will allow you to keep moving without having to worry about being lost.
This GPS device from Garmin will work on both land and sea, as well as on the road. When driving, you are able to receive turn-by-turn directions. Within the device you are given an electronic compass, water tide tables as well as outdoor GPS games. You are also able to add custom points-of-interests.
One of my favorite features that comes with this GPS device is the fact that it is extremely durable. If you accidently drop it in water, you will not have to worry about putting on your scuba gear to find it because the device floats in water.
