I am guilty myself of the occassional celebrity gossip indulgence. It is human nature to be curious of what is going on with the celebrity. Hence, the term celebrity! When you choose to be a celebrity, your life is no longer completely your own. By making the choice to be a "famous celebrity", you make the choice to be under the public eye. But how much of your life truly should be under the public eye?

I bring the question forward because of Miley Cyrus, or Hannah Montana, if you prefer. Yes, Miley is a celebrity, she is under the public eye, and right now she is truly under the microscope of every media source and every parent that has a child remotely affected by Miley, or Hannah. My son is 6, and he has a crush on Miley too, so I myself, have an interest in her and the examples she may or may not set as an up and coming star. A star, who is going through the turbulent time of going through her teenage years and basically growing up in front of all the world to see.

Having been a teenager myself, I must say that my teenage years were NOT the best years of my life. We go through the stages of developing hormones, going through puberty, and developing all that goes along with puberty. We find our relationships with our friends and family changing, and our innocent crushes devoloping into more emotional and deeper feelings. We want to experience adult like experiences and we want to grow up ever so quickly. Everyone tells us to wait and that we will miss this once it is gone and to not grow up too fast. But, do teenagers ever listen? Not really!
