Pokémon Puzzle League, also known as Tetris Attack, is one of the best puzzle games of all time. The objective is to stop the number of blocks from rising by clearing the three or more blocks of the same color. To do so, you must constantly switch blocks horizontally. Performing combos are easy and addicting; not to mention that the multiplayer is as intense as any puzzle game out there. The added Pokémon theme also enhances the game. Even for a hefty 1000 Wii Points, Pokémon Puzzle League is worth every penny. Therefore, it is the Virtual Console Game of the Week.

Renegade
Developer: Technos Japan
Publisher: Aksys Games
Original System: NES
Original Release Date: 1988
Genre: Action, Fighting
Controller Options: Wii Remote, Classic and Gamecube
Wii Points: 500
ESRB Rating: E10+

Is an old school beat-em-up that hasn't really aged really well. The moves are pretty basic and the game can be beaten in one short sitting. Pick up River City Ransom instead if you are looking for a classic brawler.
