Nick Lachey's Sympathy Album Seems to Have Made Him a Hit Again!

Unlike his now ex wife Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey chose to make a new album that would make fans feel sorry for him. Most of his songs were very apologetic, broken heart love songs. He still insists that he does not miss his ex wife and that the songs are not about her, but based on the lyrics who can help but assume that they really are. If you take a look at the overall sales for Nick Lacheys album “What’s Left of Me” you can see by the title alone he felt to go the sympathetic route.
Some have said that they felt from the begging that this relationship would not last. Probably because they were just too different. The thing about the album that so many people find so surprising is that fact that this is his highest selling album every. So if he had not gotten a divorce from Jessica Simpson would his album actually have done this well? According to critics and even some fans probably not. Many feel that he is just not talented enough, but he obviously was smart enough to use his dying relationship to salvage his music career. Who can blame him for that! 

It really almost seems as if he used his marriage to help launch his solo career, which actually begin around the same time that he chose to get married. Of course in every interview that he has done he has stated that is not the case, but you really have go to wonder, if his music career was his main focus the entire time. Many are now very curious to see what his next album will be like and if it will sell as many copies as this album did. That is something that we are all waiting to see. Jessica on the other hand chose to go the stronger unsympathetic route for her album. In her case however she was definitely not worried about topping the album sales charts. Her fans seem to really respect the fact that she did not take the same route as her ex husband, although I am sure that if she did, she would have topped him in album sales. Over the next few years, we will see who is able to stay on top and who really has the musical talent.
