Nature Valley's Roasted Nut Crunch Bars are Delicious

While shopping at the local discount store, we saw a new Nature Valley product called Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars, the Almond Crunch variety. This product is so new that as of May 6,2008, it is not even on the company Web site.

We found out that this is a new product line after my wife called customer service for more information about this product. She was told that the website was not yet updated to include the Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars.

The bargain price for the Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars, the Almond Crunch variety, was $1.50 per box, so we decided to buy a box.

Nature Valley products usually are more expensive at the regular supermarket. We saw the Nature Valley bars, regularly selling for about $3.00 per box. At this price, due to our limited budget, we would never be able to purchase these Nature Valley quick snack bars.

Reading the box, I saw that there is an allergy warning for consumers who cannot eat certain foods.

The ingredients: These bars are made with almonds, peanuts, sunflower seeds, sugar, corn syrup, and salt. This list is the complete ingredient list for the Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars, Almond Crunch variety. We like the fact that these Nature Valley Almond Crunch bars have no extra "unpronounceable" ingredients.

Later that afternoon, I tasted a bar. The taste was so delicious that my first thought was to share this experience with all of you reading this review. The bar was nice and crunchy. The nuts were the main ingredients of the bar, being held together by the sugar and corn syrup combination. My favorite part of the bar was the almonds.

The nutritional facts: For each serving size of one bar, the following is what is written on the box: calories are 200, total fat is 14g, cholesterol is 0mg, sodium is 170 mg, dietary fiber is 2g, sugars are 6g and protein is 7g.
