I just screamed out loud,
I fell to the floor,
Swore to myself,
I'd never write any more.

The inner turmoil,
The artist's slow pain,
Attacks, then attacks,
Then it attacks again.

Oh the readers, my readers,
I've let them all down,
By not effectively completing
An employable sound.

But wait, I remember,
I think as I rise,
I ponder,
As I wipe the tears from my eyes.

If I don't write,
The readers will all go away,
I won't have any money,
'cause AC won't pay.

So arise you lame yokel,
And stand fast to your job,
Make a great comeback,
Make someone sob.

No, probably not,
What's more quite truly like me,
Is to rhyme some easy words,
And get something for free!

Funny stuff. I know what you mean though; we as writers have to do whatever is necessary to keep at it!

WONDERFULLY WHIMSICAL! I can really relate to this...I've been sick a week and fallen behind in both my reading of favorites and my writing. I don't want to loose any of my loyal readers. You won't though, you are fantastic.

This was great, I won't go away as long as you keep writing!! But I do hope your headache is going away
