Stouffer's Sesame Chicken is a Delicious Alternative to Chinese Takeout

If I told you that a frozen meal could taste as good as takeout, would you be skeptical? I'm not really a fan of TV dinners and I never thought I'd enjoy a frozen dinner as much as I liked restaurant fare.

However, Stouffer's Sesame Chicken completely won me over. The generous portion, tasty Asian noodles, and delicious breaded chicken make this frozen meal an excellent alternative to ordering Chinese takeout.

Stouffer's Restaurant Selects

Stouffer's Sesame Chicken is part of Stouffer's Restaurant Selects, which recently introduced a new, larger size. Stouffer's Sesame Chicken is about 15 ounces, and this new, generous portion size really satisfies. Some TV dinners are so small that they leave you wanting more; however, this dinner is hearty and surprisingly filling for a Chinese meal.

Stouffer's Sesame Chicken has an amazing taste. The meal contains a generous serving of chicken tenderloins that have a light, sesame breading. The chicken is arranged on a bed of noodles, green beans, red peppers and julienne carrots. The noodles have great texture and taste like something you would find in an authentic Chinese restaurant.

The chicken and noodles are topped with a sweet and sour sauce that is just right: not too spicy, not too sweet. Ingredients like plum sauce, chili pepper, and cilantro in Stouffer's Sesame Chicken give the sweet and sour sauce some kick, but the flavor isn't too hot. I don't like really spicy food and the sauce was not overpowering for me (just tasty!)

I love that the sauce is plentiful and doesn't evaporate off during the heating process. Stouffer's Sesame Chicken can be cooked in a microwave or heated in a conventional oven. For convenience, I microwave Stouffer's Sesame Chicken and find that it heats up quite nicely, with moist chicken and lots of delicious sauce to cover the noodles.

I also appreciate the high quality chicken used in Stouffer's Sesame Chicken, and I like that the product contains no preservatives.
