Jason Castro

"I Shot The Sheriff" was really not a huge surprise as a song choice. Given the wide array of choices provided by the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and the critiques Jason received last week, you would have thought he'd have chosen something to prove the judges wrong and show America he really was worthy to keep around.

The first song choice, as mentioned above, was a good song choice for him performance wise. You could tell he really liked the song and the artist. It was good to finally see a change in his performance. It was incredible! He was actually dancing! He even had a change in his facial expressions. It was the most fun I'd ever had watching Jason Castro perform.

The second song really killed him though. "Mr. Tambourine Man" was a HUGE disappointment. I almost screamed as I realized Jason was once again seated on the infamous toadstool of death. (the toadstool now has new meaning to me) What made it worse was that he forgot the lyrics. THAT is a major no, no. It was reminiscent of the same old blah performance we have seen from him so often in the past. The vocals weren't even good. The last note just killed the ears and it was a long last note at that.

He was way below the competition and if America has a brain at all tonight should prove to have been his last performance in this contest. There is no challenger for him as he definitely would not, could not and never will rise to their level.
