David Archuleta

Rock n Roll Hall of Fame week did Archuleta a lot of good. He chose great songs that showed off his talent, but were tailor made just for him and his personality when on stage and singing his adorable little heart out.

His first song choice was "Stand By Me." It was no surprise when he mentioned this was one of his favorite songs. It suits him so well. It was an awesome song choice and an even better performance. He really connected with the audience this week and proved that no matter what happens to him he truly is a great inspirational singer.

The first song was awesome, but the second song put him way on top of every other performance of the night. "Love Me Tender" was the absolute perfect song for Archuleta hands down! The changes he made to the song were just amazing and made it sound like David was the first person to ever sing that song. Take that Elvis! It was extremely touching and moving as David took what he knew he was capable of and expanded it into another dimension.

He was way above the competition tonight. There was no one to challenge him and he will not be going home tomorrow. As long as he keeps this up and Cook and Mercado don't improve drastically, David is now in line to win the American Idol competition.
