On American Idol, David Cook Rocks His Way to Fame

David Cook's performance on American Idol's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame week was incredible. First up in the competition, singing "Hungry Like the Wolf" by Duran Duran, David Cook's vocals were incredible. Unfortunately the backup band was not. The band was very weak. If the band had "let 'er rip" then Cook's performance would have been outstanding. Even the backup vocals were weak. The band was just as weak as the reviews given by Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell.

One great characteristic of David Cook is his ability to make songs into his own unique style. Cook has the ability to modify his voice to create a wonderful unique performance and vocal style. One song to the next is pure amazement as none of them sound like the same old, same old.

Cook has not had a problem standing out in the crowd and will rock his way into fame. It is especially nice when David Cook plays his guitar. It adds the image of not just a great singer, but a great musician as well. The attire that Cook wears during each performance only adds more to the image that he is trying to maintain as an artist.

David Cook's second performance, belting out the song "Baba O'Riley" by The Who was simply amazing. Nobody else in the competition could have performed that song and got away with it like Cook did. His vocal range, style and performance are incredibly characteristic of his abilities to perform just about any song that he is given.

It is going to be a tight competition between David Cook and David Archuleta whom I am predicting to be in the top two. The top three should include Cook, Archuleta and Mercado. Cook definitely has the potential to become this year's American Idol. He puts forth much effort into his music and has become a favorite of many households in America.
