In order for a country music singer to be unforgettable they must be a person whose music touches every fabric of our being. Their music must not only reach our minds, but also our heart and soul. The music they sing must relate to our lives and loves. It must reflect the things that we face each day. When country music singers are able to put into music our everyday feelings, then they become unforgettable in our eyes.

There are literally hundreds of country music artists, and everyone will have their own favorite singers, but here is a list of some of the most unforgettable country music singers of all time:

Merle Haggard -
As both a singer and songwriter, many believe that Merle Haggard could be one of the most important singers to emerge from 1960's country music. He had a style that was all his own and related to the common everyday man. Haggard's music was appealing because it came from his real life experiences. Even today he continues to inspire people with his music.

Dolly Parton -
There are very few people who have never heard of Dolly Parton. Not only has she succeeded as a country music artist, but also as a songwriter, actress and philanthropist. Most people do not realize that Dolly has written and published over 600 songs. Many would recognize her from the movie "9 to 5", or from her many charitable works. Possibly they know her from Dollywood, her own country music theme park in Tennessee. But aside from all of those things, Dolly Parton sings songs that appeal to everyday people.

Garth Brooks -
Garth Brooks came upon the country music scene at a time when country was trying to reinvent itself. He was the right person at the right time. His music was a mixture of country, honky-tonk,folk and rock. He was not only able to relate to peoples feelings with such hits as "The Dance" and "Friends in Low Places", but he was also a very creative entertainer. Setting all kinds of country music sales records, his music is still a favorite of many.
