Visit the Beaches from Alibag to Vengurla, Coastal Maharashtra, God's Own Paradise

I and my friend had decided to cover almost all the beaches from Alibag to Vengurla, Coastal Maharashtra. The journey was to take us from Mumbai to Raigad, Ratnagiri & Sindhudurga District, and the total Coastal Belt. There are several beaches which are unspoilt and to cover all these beaches the road journey was must. We hired a private car and covered all the beautiful beaches and places within 7 days. We travelled almost 1200 Kilometres, to and fro. The journey was amazing. It was September and there were just moderate rains every where. We left Mumbai early morning and reached Vadkhal Naka (Corner) and stopped at Milind Vihar restaurant for breakfast. This hotel serves best Batata Vada which is must. By leaving Mumbai-Goa road at one side, we proceeded towards Alibag. I admit one thing; the all beaches are almost same. The beauty of each beach is yet different and very difficult to express in mere words. It depends in which season you visit what time you visit and your mindset makes the all difference. Otherwise, all the beaches are same except for the back ground.

Raigad District:

Alibag: This is a small town with lots of greenery and beautiful beach. This is an ideal vacation place with a Kolaba fort in the background. You get an ample choice of good hotels, resorts and lodges. Being a coastal part, you get very good and fresh fish varieties in restaurants. The atmosphere here is very pleasant. The wind blows through Coconut trees, shaking the trees and making a noise of its leaves. The sound of waves, everything is just perfect and soothing.

Varsoli Beach: This is just a mile away from Alibag beach. Varsoli beach is less visited and as such very quiet and clean with soft and sparkling white sand.

Aakshi Beach: This beach is around 3 miles away from Alibag. This blue ocean beach is very beautiful with Suru trees dotting the coast. The water is very clean and safe for swimming. The cool breeze blowing over soft and white sand and through Coconut and Palm tree makes this place very ideal spot to relax. You can see the Kolaba fort and Alibag if the weather is clear.
