Some of you may not know who Alban Mehling is. Alban Mehling has been in the food service business for 26 years and writes restaurant reviews. Alban loves his job writing restaurant reviews for the small mom and pop restaurants that have the guts to go up against the big restaurant food chains. Alban also has a wonderful sense of humor, is a kind sharing soul who has the moral foundation of a Saint, and is a wonderful freelance writer on more topics than just restaurants.

Alban is also a Content Producer at Associated Content, and has been providing friends of the Web 2.0 community with our weekly dinner menu recipes since he began publishing in January 2007. Alban has also published a great collection of side dish recipes, dessert recipes, healthy recipes, and as he describes them, comfort food with some fat from the old home cooks. All of Alban's recipes are full of wonderful spices and are easy to cook because most of the ingredients are things you already have in your kitchen.

When Alban published his recipe for low carb Manfood Meatloaf and said he personally has never had a bad meatloaf, I decided I better give it a try. I usually make horrible, dried-out, tasteless meatloaf. This recipe is described as Man Food, and just like Alban does for his Queen Goddess, I am here to serve my Man Food. Actually, I have two men to feed in our house: my real man and my Maltese, Spike. The test of whether a recipe is outstanding in my house is if Spikey likes it!

I gathered up all the ingredients in Alban's low carb Manfood Meatloaf recipe and felt lucky that I happened to still have some brewed coffee left from my morning wake up call. At first I thought, coffee in meatloaf? I don't know about Alban's Manfood Meatloaf! But I trusted the man who gave me real comfort food called Man Food. I am really glad I trusted Alban once again. Alban's low carb Manfood Meatloaf was the best meatloaf I have ever eaten in my life! I can't believe I actually was able to cook a great meatloaf.

WHen I looked at this one last night, the dog was on the first page, honest! I didn't mean to imply that the photo of the meatloaf was funny because it is not...it looks tasty. I just thought the dog eating the meatloaf was adorable - and cute :)
